ICHCA co-hosts seminar promoting CTU Packing Code at London International Shipping Week
Safety in the Intermodal Supply Chain: Promoting the IMO/ILO/UNECE Code of Practice for the safe packing of cargo transport units
September 12 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Hosted exclusively by the IMO in the prestigious IMO London building, the four organisations; Global Shippers Forum, ICHCA International, TT Club, and World Shipping Council return to address the dangers posed to the supply chain by incorrectly packed and secured cargo.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the discussion with the four organisations on the developments of the CTU Code of Practice and how it can assist in making cargo handling and transport safer, as well as take advantage of an afternoon within the UN premises, exclusive to IMO & London.
During the event the winner of the 2017 BIC Award will be announced. Each year the BIC Award honors an organization or individual for a significant contribution to the advancement of safety, security or sustainability in container transportation – https://www.bic-code.org/about-us/bic-awards/
Delegates are invited free of charge to register for the seminar 5.30pm – 6.30pm and to attend the cocktail reception and networking from 6.30pm.
