Each of the meetings and activities below are opportunities to share learning, discover more about cargo safety and ICHCA itself, network with other professionals and engage with stakeholders on matters that affect our industry.  They provide opportunities for:

  • your input on ICHCA’s direction of travel
  • your voice to be heard internationally on safety in our industry

Event: Implementation of IMO Instruments (III 10) – 22-26 July

  Start Date: 22/07/2024 End Date: 26/07/2024 Owner : IMO The Sub-Committee on Implementation of IMO Instruments (III) brings together flag, port and coastal States to consider implementation issues, including the analysis of consolidated audit summary reports from the mandatory IMO Member state Audit Scheme. The Sub-Committee has a key role in casualty analysis and issuing lessons learned from marine incidents. Event: Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC10) – 16-20 September

  Start Date: 16/08/2024 End Date: 20/08/2024 Owner : IMO The Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC) deals with the carriage of packaged dangerous goods, solid bulk cargoes, bulk gas cargoes, and containers. The Sub-Committee keeps updated the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes Code (IMSBC Code) and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code. Event: Consultative Meetings of Contracting Parties (London Convention 1972)(LCP 46) and Meetings of Contracting Parties (London Protocol 1996)(LP 19) – 28 October-01 November

  Start Date: 28/10/2024 End Date: 01/11/2024 Owner : IMO The 1972 London Convention and its 1996 Protocol regulate dumping of wastes and other matter at sea. These consultative meetings of Contracting Parties to those treaties address all issues that come under their remit, including assessing waste for which dumping at sea may be permitted, radioactive wastes, marine geoengineering and carbon capture and storage.
