Each of the meetings and activities below are opportunities to share learning, discover more about cargo safety and ICHCA itself, network with other professionals and engage with stakeholders on matters that affect our industry. They provide opportunities for:
- your personal continuing professional development
- your input on ICHCA’s direction of travel
- your voice to be heard internationally on safety in our industry
We have also listed IMO meetings; remember that ICHCA members can attend IMO meetings as observers.

Start Date: 21/06/2025 End Date: 25/06/2025 Owner : IMO The Sub-Committee on Implementation of IMO Instruments (III) brings together flag, port and coastal States to consider implementation issues, including the analysis of consolidated audit summary reports from the mandatory IMO Member state Audit Scheme. Event: IMO Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC 11) 8 – 12 September 2025
Start Date: 08/09/2025 End Date: 12/09/2025 Owner : IMO The Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC) deals with the carriage of packaged dangerous goods, solid bulk cargoes, bulk gas cargoes, and containers. The Sub-Committee keeps updated the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes Code (IMSBC Code) and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code. Event: IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC ES.2) – 13 – 17 October 2025
Start Date: 13/10/2025 End Date: 17/10/2025 Owner : IMO The Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) addresses environmental issues under IMO’s remit. This includes the control and prevention of ship-source pollution covered by the MARPOL treaty, including oil, chemicals carried in bulk, sewage, garbage and emissions from ships, including air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions. Other matters covered include ballast water management, anti-fouling systems, ship recycling, pollution preparedness and response, and identification of special areas and particularly sensitive sea areas.
