ICHCA International, the global NGO for the cargo handling and transport industries, is delighted to host the inaugural Cargo Safety Forum as part of the TECH TOC seminars at TOC Europe 2018.

Ensuring the safety, security and integrity of people, cargo, equipment and assets at ports, at sea and along the landside cargo chain has always been a shared responsibility among many private and public stakeholders. Today, as the scale and scope of global trade in containerised, conventional and bulk cargoes continues to grow, and as new digital, automated and autonomous technologies continue to change the operational landscape, dialogue among the many parties is more important than ever before.

The ICHCA Cargo Safety Forum will bring together a range of industry, regulatory, insurance and legal experts to discuss latest and upcoming legislation and explore new approaches and technologies to #makeitsafe in the era of bigger ships, cargo peaks and global trade growth.

The Forum will include latest updates on industry guidelines, technical and regulatory work currently being undertaken by ICHCA’s Technical Panel and Technical Advisor, plus regulatory work at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) that impacts both shoreside and maritime operators.
