Global Lifting Awareness Day – 7 July 2022

We were delighted to celebrate GLAD 2022

The battle with gravity is essential to our way of life. Fighting gravity carries inherent risks to be managed. Getting it wrong can lead to accident, injury and even fatality. As we work higher, heavier and more complex, our ability to lift safely becomes ever more important. GLAD is a day when stakeholders can unite to share material promoting safe and high quality load lifting.

GLAD is all about ensuring that end users can make well-informed purchasing decisions by fully understanding applicable regulations and good practice standards. It aims to raise the profile of lifting and working at height with stakeholders and legislators, attract new recruits into the sector through showcasing entrance pathways as well as career opportunities and celebrate the innovation and work going on within our industries.

The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association LEEA led the GLAD 2022 activity alongside a tremendous group of partners.
