Enhancing resilience and safety in ports and terminals via information sharing
Yucel Yildiz, RightShip

Yucel Yildiz is RightShip’s Ports and Terminals Manager. He joined the company in 2018 as a Vetting Superintendent and carried out a secondment role as Customer Engagement Officer (EMEA) in 2020 and 2021.
Yucel is part of the RightPORT task force and represents RightShip in various Port and Terminal Associations, including Dry Bulk Terminals Group (DBTG), the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), International Harbour Masters Association (IHMA), International Cargo Handling Coordination Association (ICHCA), UK Port Skills and Safety, Baltic Ports Organisation (BPO).
Yucel has extensive experience on ocean-going vessels, rising to the rank of master mariner on board crude oil, product, and chemical tankers. Before joining RightShip, he worked at a refinery terminal as a loading master and then as a vetting inspector, along with Maritime Pilots. Yucel has an MSc in Maritime Security, Safety and Environmental Management, and a BSc in Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering. He is currently working towards a Ports Management qualification.
